Does professional photography in real estate make a difference? This is a common question we receive from potential home sellers and new Real Estate Pros. As a photographer you may think I am biased, but let me break it down for you.
At any given time in Connecticut there are tens of thousands of homes on the market. Most of those homes are in the median price range, so yes there is a ton of competition right? Wouldn’t you want your home to stand out from the crowd? Well you do that two ways, the first is having a competitive price for your home, if you have a good real estate professional at your side, he or she will help you with that. The second is having great imagery. People are busy and if everything is equal they will opt to visit the home that visually appeals to them before they visit a home that doesn’t, so you need to make sure your home stands out.
We know that there have been studies conducted that demonstrates the value of using professional photography in real estate, but we have seen for ourselves, time and time again, where our clients pick up expired listings and do nothing other than upgrade the marketing to include professional imagery, leave the price as is and “miraculously” the house sells in a matter of weeks, or even days.
